Terms & Conditions

Last updated: 7 April 2026

These terms and conditions (“Terms” or “agreement”) govern your use of the Intima Therapy website, accessible at www.intimatherapy.co.uk (or any related pages or successor domain(s) operated by Intima Therapy) (“Platform”).

If you are using the Platform, these Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you (“User”, “you” or “yours”) and Intima Therapy Ltd (Company Number 16927141) with registered office at 2 Randolph Road, London W9 1AN, (hereinafter referred to as the “Company”, “Intima Therapy”, “we”, “us” or “our”).

When we talk about “Users” in these Terms, we are referring to any individual who accesses or uses the Platform, including those seeking to be introduced to therapists and those browsing or engaging with any features of the Platform.

When we talk about “Therapists” or “Therapist” in these Terms, we are referring to independent, self-employed practitioners who are registered on the Platform and offer psychosexual or relationship therapy services to Users. Therapists are not employees, partners, agents, or representatives of Intima Therapy; they provide services directly to Users under their own professional terms and responsibilities.

By signing up to this Platform, you agree to accept these Terms. If you don’t agree to these Terms, you must refrain from using the Platform.

We may change these Terms at any time by updating the relevant page on the Platform, and your continued use of the Platform following such an update will represent an agreement by you to be bound by this agreement, as amended.

1. Definitions

In these Terms:

2. About Intima Therapy

  1. Intima Therapy is a platform that enables Users to connect with psychosexual and relationship Therapists and provides informational, educational and editorial content through its blog and related content channels.
  2. All Therapists on our platform are independent, self-employed professionals. They are responsible for their own practice and clinical work, contracts with clients, record-keeping, safeguarding decisions, and ongoing professional compliance. Each Therapist is required to hold a valid professional indemnity insurance, hold membership of College of Sexual and Relationship Therapists (COSRT), and to abide by the COSRT Code of Ethics and Practice. The responsibility for maintaining this professional registration and adequate and valid insurance lies entirely with the Therapists.
  3. Our services are available to adults based in the United Kingdom (UK) and certain other countries. Please read more in the Eligibility clause below for more details.

3. Eligibility

  1. You must be at least 18 years old to use our Website or Services, and you may only use Intima Therapy for your own personal purposes, and not on behalf of another person.
  2. Our Services are provided in accordance with applicable UK law and within the territorial scope permitted by our Therapists’ professional indemnity insurance coverage. Services are available only to Users who reside in, and are physically located in, countries where such insurance allows therapy to be provided. Intima Therapy does not accept enquiries from, and cannot introduce therapists to, or provide therapy to individuals who are residents of, or currently located in, countries outside the UK where our insurance does not apply. These countries include, but are not limited to, the United States of America, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, and any countries subject to UK government sanctions such as Iran, North Korea, Syria, Cuba, Belarus, Russia, or the Crimea region of Ukraine.
  3. By submitting an enquiry, you confirm that all information you provide is true, and accurate and that you are not residing in, or physically located in, any of the jurisdictions listed above.
  4. Please note that our Services are not suitable for emergencies or crisis situations. If you are in immediate need of help or danger, please call emergency services at 999 (UK) or the emergency services in the country in which you reside, or seek urgent support from local services. If you are based in the UK, you can also contact Samaritans (116 123) or Saneline (0300 304 7000) for immediate emotional support.

4. How Our Service Works

  1. When you submit an enquiry form, you may either select specific Therapists you would like to be introduced and referred to or ask Intima Therapy to suggest a suitable match. If your chosen Therapist is not available, we will let you know and suggest an alternative based on the information you provide in your enquiry.
  2. Once your enquiry is dispatched, one or more Therapists may contact you directly, usually within three working days, although response times are not guaranteed. The first step is a free of charge 15-minute introductory call, which is for initial discussion only and is not a therapy session.
  3. If you and the Therapist wish to proceed after this introductory call, the Therapist will provide you with their own Client–Therapist Agreement (“Client-Therapist Agreement”). Intima Therapy is not a party to the Client-Therapist Agreement. You may only book a first therapy session (“First Session”) once you have reviewed and accepted the Client-Therapist Agreement. At that stage, Intima Therapy will send you a secure link to pay the service fee for the First Session (“First Session Fees”) via Stripe payments.
  4. Intima Therapy processes payment for the First-Session Fees only. You may cancel your First Session for a full refund if you give at least 48 hours’ notice before the scheduled start time. If you cancel with less than 48 hours’ notice, or do not attend the First Session, the First Session Fees shall be non-refundable. After the First Session, all further sessions, fees, agreements, payments, cancellations, contractual matters and communications are managed directly between you and your Therapist under their own terms. Intima Therapy has no involvement in or responsibility for these arrangements.
  5. We do our best to ensure timely contact and appropriate matches, but we cannot guarantee that a Therapist will accept you as a Client. Therapists are independent professionals and may decline referrals based on availability, suitability, or clinical judgment. Therapists may also discontinue sessions if they believe it is clinically appropriate or if circumstances prevent them from continuing.
  6. You have the right to stop therapy at any time, unless otherwise agreed directly with your Therapist. If a Therapist leaves the Intima Therapy platform while working with you, they remain responsible for managing your treatment and therapeutic relationship in a reasonable and clinically appropriate manner.

5. Payments and Cancellations

  1. The payment for your First Session is processed securely through Intima Therapy’s online payment system, managed by Stripe. Intima Therapy does not store or have access to your payment card details.
  2. To confirm your booking, payment for the First Session must be made using the payment link provided by Intima Therapy. Payment of the First Session Fee must be completed no later than 24 hours before the scheduled start time of the First Session. If payment of the First Session Fee is not received within this timeframe, your Therapist may release the appointment slot or offer it to another Client.
  3. All prices for the Services are listed in pounds sterling (GBP).
  4. After the First Session, all further payments and fees, must be handled directly between you and your Therapist in accordance with the Client- Therapist Agreement, and Intima Therapy shall not be involved in, and/or responsible for, any ongoing payments for subsequent sessions.

6. Complaints

  1. If your complaint relates to Intima Therapy itself, such as our Platform or administration, please contact us at hello@intimatherapy.co.uk. We will acknowledge your complaint within seven days and provide a response or update within a reasonable timeframe.
  2. If your complaint relates to a Therapist, you should first raise it directly with them, using their complaints procedure. All Therapists on Intima Therapy are members of COSRT and are bound by its Code of Ethics and Practice. Therapists are solely responsible for handling and resolving all clinical and professional complaints relating to their services.
  3. If your complaint is not resolved within a reasonable period of time, or if the matter is serious, you may escalate it to COSRT under their Conduct Procedure. COSRT normally expects complaints within three years of the conduct in question. Complaints are judged against the Code of Ethics in force at the time. Intima Therapy is not responsible for COSRT’s processes, decisions, or timelines.
  4. We handle all complaints about Intima Therapy itself with care and confidentiality. However, Intima Therapy does not investigate, review, or adjudicate clinical complaints about Therapists. We do not assess evidence, make findings, or mediate disputes between Clients and Therapists. Our role is limited to providing general information on the appropriate channels (such as COSRT) and we are not responsible for any outcome of those external procedures.
