Bio
I work with individuals and couples experiencing difficulties with sex, intimacy, and relationships. This may involve exploring sexual desire and fantasies, or supporting individuals experiencing vaginismus and erectile dysfunction.
I have a particular interest in supporting people who have been in emotionally or mentally abusive relationships, where dynamics such as manipulation or gaslighting may have left them feeling confused, anxious, or questioning themselves.
Leaving these relationships can bring anger, shame, self-doubt, and a loss of trust in yourself and others. In therapy we explore what happened in the relationship, how it affected you, and the patterns or triggers that may still appear in future connections. The aim is to rebuild a clearer sense of self, strengthen boundaries, and develop confidence in recognising and creating healthier relationships.
EMDR may be used where appropriate to help process traumatic relationship experiences and reduce the emotional and physical distress linked to those memories.
